Europe has never failed to impress me as a place of holiday destination.
The recent trip was another WOW. It has been a while that I got the WOW feeling.
I was a bit sceptical about the trip before departure. I was thinking Europe, especially the cities is always about churches, palaces, castles and old town. 6 days in Switzerland might bored me to death.
Well, I was wrong.
And we were quite lucky as well. We managed to cover what we have planned, in fact we got more than we planned.
The weather was good as well, no rain and most of the days with clear blue sky.
We went on low season but also the start of Christmas Markets for many cities. Less touristy but still plenty of things to see and experience.
Before I end this summary, let me share one of my favourite photo from the trip.
OH NO!!!
As our journey going East from Geneva, we have to somehow fly back to Geneva for our flight back to Singapore. Our furthest city is Vienna, but there is no flight back on our planned date!
The problem of planning too early when the flight schedule is not out yet!
Well, we have to find a way to come back. Taking train back is not an option. So, we come to conclusion to make a little twist to our itinerary and added in one more city (and remove one)!
Not difficult to guess which city we added, right? In fact, we are quite excited with the new addition as it is quite different from the other cities....
This page is done using Google Slides.
We have been to Paris, London, Rome and Beijing during winter, we have got used to the cold weather or so as we thought.
A quick check on Jungfrau Weather, OMG!!
Average mean temperature for 22-28 November 2015 was -16. Average Max was -7.
That is freakingly cold!! We have never experience a sub zero temperature before.
And this is Alps! It will be lot's of snow! The first thing I got worry is my sports shoes waterproof?
Timberland comes to my mind. A simple pair of Timberland waterproof shoes will set me back by SGD200 and in Malaysia it costs about RM700! With the thought that I might wear this for 15 days only doesn't help.
Shop online is the trend. Amazon quickly come to my mind for reliable and quality product, especially for western brand. I am quite terrified to find some of the boots are quite reasonably priced and they are all look great!
Some of the nicer and suitable boots are in my watchlist!
One of these will be my boot for the trip! But which one?
Timberland Men's Chocorua Trail Gore-Tex Mid Hiking Boot
Rockport Men's Hill Crest Waterproof Snow Boot
Timberland White Ledge Men's Waterproof Boot
Timberland Men's Flume Waterproof Boot
Rockport Men's Cold Springs Plus MC Toe Snow Boot
We are going to Europe.. again. The last time we went is during our honeymoon, which is about 9 years ago. We decided to re-honeymoon again.
We will start and end our trip in Switzerland.
So, what countries do you think we should go for a 15 days trip?

"Yo, have you checked out my new post?", I asked my loyal reader.
(A while later)
"I didn't see any. I only saw 2009 Beijing post."
"The post with one picture only, I am going somewhere again. Make a guess!"
"Switzerland? But that's very common place.."
That's true though. But I am determined to blog about our trip planning, Switzerland trip from 23 November 2016. I think planning for a trip is very fun and enjoyable.
